Susan Moritz chose to become an attorney as her second career in 2004, following many years of service in Search and Rescue and Law Enforcement for the United States Coast Guard, including eight years of sea duty and tours as a Commanding Officer and Executive Officer.
Her Education includes her Juris Doctor Degree from Regent University in 2004; a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from George Washington University in 1989; completion of the Naval War College Off-Campus program in Washington DC (1986); and a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Fisheries Biology from the University of Massachusetts (1975).
As an attorney, Susan Moritz initially worked for a small general practice firm, and moved on to a solo practice to follow her career goals. Susan's practice is concentrated in Estate Planning, Wills and Probate.
Susan Moritz is a member of the Virginia State Bar, including the Trusts & Estates and Family Law sections; and the Hampton Roads Estate Planning Council. Susan Moritz is the past-President of the Sgt. William Harlow Family Association ( a non-profit genealogical association).
Susan Moritz is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Regent University School of Law. |
